A New Home

Oakwood is pleased to be meeting in a new location in the west part of town. Dan and Meena Naidu have been gracious in allowing us to use the expansion on their Protege Child Development Center.

Located near Braun and Old Tezel Roads, the building is composed of dark red bricks specifically chosen by Meena. The large gathering room is awash with natural light and views of live oaks. We already sense a more exciting air of worship for our God.

Hello from San Antonio

This Texas city is home to some of the oldest churches in the country. From the first settlers arriving from the Canary Islands, she has always had a varied populace. People come from around the world and see her Riverwalk, Alamo, amusement parks, championship Spurs, Spanish missions, museums, and gardens. The members of Oakwood find it a good place to live and serve the Lord by serving the community.

How Can We be a Neighbor for You?

Are you looking for a place that is home outside of home? Do you search for a place that respects you no matter who you are or what you've done? Can you believe there is a group that puts heart to mind and mind to heart?

Jesus' Second Great Commandment is "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." We intend to live this out by reaching beyond our families and friends to the community around us. Do you have a need whether physical, or spiritual? We can help you on the road to filling that need.

What gives us the ability to do all this? The First Great Commandment: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and all thy mind, and all thy strength." When we devote ourselves totally to Jesus Christ, he in turn commits to providing us with the resources allow-ing us to do his will. He knows us. He loves us. He calls people to reconcile with Himself and then makes them worthy to be called His brothers and sisters.
